Android [HELP] Black screen and no sound when loading my favorite file (the other works)

Hey all, I am playing SDV on a Samsung A71 and downloaded the game the day I got my phone brand new. It's One UI Version 3.1, and Android 11.

I have 43hrs logged on my first file and it stopped working in May of this year.

When I click load file, it just perpetually says "Loading..." In the corner, the screen is black, and there's no sound. It also appears the loading banner flickers occasionally.

I started a new file which works just fine, never had an issue with it. But I really want to continue my original file.


I play several other games and have never had an issue with loading or black screen. The phone seems to work great with games in general.


I've uninstalled, reinstalled, updated, turned off and back on all the game permissions, but I'm not sure what to do now.


If anyone has any help or advice that would be super appreciated! Thank you!

This may be a problem with the save file. Can you upload it here? There should be a Stardew folder on your phone that has the saves.

Best to zip them all and send over - lets us attempt to launch it ourselves.

The key file is the one second from bottom (Lakweh_266446352).

This file ran fine on my computer.

I noticed that this save file was from 1.4.5. It could be your game is having trouble upgrading the save file to 1.5.

I slept a day so these files should be on 1.5.

Sorry to ask again-- I tried opening this file on the Stardew app and I'm not sure how to go about uploading that one

I just realised I am an idiot, ignore the new files.

With your original files, you could try deleting the SVBAK and the SVEMERG files and see if it loads.

I've deleted them and when I click "load" for the file it just brings me back to the home screen

I'm thinking I'm not meant to play this game

FYI I solved the problem by buying a Nintendo Switch and Stardew Valley for it

Gave up on the Android issues
