iOS [HELP] Accidentally deleted save file

Hello! I accidentally deleted my saved file on stardew valley on ios, is there anyway you can help me retrieve it? I’m already on my year 5 and I’ve come a really long way into the game even one stuff away from completing the community center. Please help me. I really love playing this game. I’m just so clumsy. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

If the game isn't backed up, unless you can acess your files and find a place where deleted files may go, I do not know what to say

You can open the Files app and select On My iPhone/iPad -> Stardew Valley. If your save still exists it will be there, but if you've deleted it I think unfortunately it's gone.

omg this same thing just happened to me! Why am i like this!!! I almost panicked when i realized i deleted the save! every memories i have with this game just flashed before my eyes and it all literally feels like a dream!

Hello! I believe you are able to possibly find it in the “Recently Deleted” folder in your files app! :) hope that helps!!

I just did this as well. Could not find any files in 'Files' > 'Recently Deleted'.
This sucks, I was trying to load the game with a controller and accidentally selected delete :(

I have to say it's much too easy to delete a save with the controller. I almost did that this week too.

The Files > Recently Deleted is for files you have manually deleted. Files deleted by deleting an app won't appear there unfortunately.

I want to encourage you to save your farm file after every session. It's a good habit and only takes a minute. The easiest way to do this in iOS/iPadOS is to copy the farm save file to iCloud. You could create an iCloud folder called SDV Backups. Here's the steps:

1. Select your farm save file (Files > On My ...[device] > Stardew Valley. You can't copy the whole Stardew Valley folder, only your farm save file within it.
2. After selecting your save file, choose Move. I know you want to copy it and you will, but for some reason the option is Move.
3. Select the iCloud location where you want to copy it. Once you do that, the option will change to Copy (in the upper right). If you already have a saved file there with the same name, it will ask if you want to Replace, Keep Both, or Stop. It's ok to keep both but you probably want to simply Replace to overwrite the previous save.
4. If the game has been deleted, that Stardew Valley folder gets deleted too (and won't show in Recently Deleted). Reinstall the game, and then copy down your save file from iCloud into that On My ... [device] Stardew Valley folder. It should show as a loadable farm when you start the game.

You can also save your farm file to an external or network drive if you prefer.
