Howdy fellow farmers!
My name is THEDARKMANTA, or just Manta if you prefer. I've had that handle since 2006 back in the OG Xbox live days. I'm new, to the game and to the forums. We'll, actually I've been playing this game like crazy for a month now. Maybe a little more...
I've always heard good things about this game, but never got into it, writing it off as a mix of Minecraft and Terreria. Boy was I wrong! This game is a million times better! Its got so many things to do and so many deep interactions, I'm in love with this game! I finally decided to try it after coming across a random YouTube short.
So, here's a little recap of how far I am in game. My first farmer is named Bradley. I'm currently in summer on year two, with a fully upgraded barn, coop, and farmhouse. Nearly every skill is level nine, and the community center is only missing a truffle, a walleye, and a sand fish for completion. Currently, I make between 10-20k a day depending on crops/preserves (still need that basement upgrade for caskets.)
I just got married to Penny! (Best girl, fight me!) Originally I chased Abigail, but I rather enjoyed Penny's bookish nature and gentle tone. (She's also a little minx, the way she got me alone in the spa with that skimpy bathing suit.)
Still haven't visited the desert or skull caverns, but I got to the bottom of regular mines. I still don't have a horse, thats my next purchase maybe, and I just unlocked the racoon tree stump thing. So far, I've had a blast playing this game on my first run.
I can't wait to read about all y'alls adventures. Glad to be a part of these forums!
