Golden Walnuts

Are they supposed to vanish when you pick them up?

When you pick them up, they should get added to a "counter", and you can see how many walnuts you have by opening your inventory and tapping on the "wallet" tab, which is the second tab from your left and shows your farmer's face. Golden Walnuts don't appear in your inventory.
