Golden animal cracker question

Does anyone know what happens if you try to give a cracker to an animal that already has one? Do they refuse the cracker, or do they eat it with no benefits?

If you're wondering why I am asking, I have discovered that it is kind of difficult to tell apart twelve identical rabbits when they are all roaming around the coop. It would be much easier if I could accrue a stack of twelve and then bumble around until all crackers have been handed out, without fear of missing anyone or doubling up by accident.

I'm not 100% sure but I think they just don't eat it if it's not the first time.

Yes just bumble around and spam the Golden Cracker. When I traded in my various animals for my fluffy sheep fleet, I just ran around with a stack of crackers until my animals tab was all crackered up.

No they don’t take more than one. When you find one that hasn’t taken one it will have that music note above it briefly. Hmmm…if only you could color the bunnies like the sheds you’d make for some really cute Easter bunnies and be able to tell them apart. Win-Win!

Luckily it just does absolutely nothing, so you don’t have to worry about accidentally double feeding any of your animals (regardless of how much they probably do want to eat another)

Your best chances of getting them is in treasure chests from fishing and randomly in the mines/skull cavern. Very small chance from golden mystery boxes, artifact spots, and chopping/shaking trees.

My preferred way is using treasure totems on the beach at ginger island farm on best luck days. Also fishing with treasure bobbers, pirate profession, magnet bait, on good luck days with food/drink luck bufffs.

Treats don't work as a way of keeping track: a rabbit won't refuse an extra cracker, and you can't tell by the cracker on its face whether it has already had one.
