As it stands, daggers stand out from the other weapons because they only hit the square in front of them. Meanwhile, swords and hammers get a large arc with which to hit enemies with. In order to bring the daggers into line with the other weapons and to preserve their status as a fast style of weapon, I believe they'd benefit from swiping twice before their usual stab. It wouldn't knock enemies back until the final strike and would have a smaller arc for the first two swings. With this, I believe daggers would finally have a use outside of clearing the occasional weeds in the grass or being a gimmicky weapon.
