Yeah, once you kinda get all the obvious walnuts, you start to run dry. Make sure you don't forget any quests or puzzles.

Here, some might say this is a lil... Cheat-y, but if you're desperate or don't care anymore like me, you can just look at the hidden locations on the wiki, Walnut Locations
Just expand them all, and you'll see them.

Mostly just make sure you are doing a lot of fishing, farming, mining, and monster slaying. Best of luck!!! <3

Walnuts are definitely a bit slower once you find the first easy ones (the circles in the ground, the one obviously in a tree, and so on), but I actually disagree with Lew a bit here.

If its your first time playing, I totally recommend trying to find all of them on your own. While they can absolutely can be a pain (especially when the parrot says something like 'ark ark its in the west' and I KNOW that I've looked through every single square centimeter of that map), it's SO satisfying finding them, especially because they aren't that difficult to find. You can always go for the last ones with the wiki as it's easy to think you found one and skip over it at 129/130, but the first 100 or so to unlock the walnut room are light work if you keep an eye out for anything suspicious and just work your way through all parts of the 'island experience' (fishing, fighting, mining, farming, etc.).

Good luck finding them!

I totally agree with @FilthyGorilla : most the golden walnuts are easy to find by searching for them, or simply by enjoying Ginger Island like you would enjoy any other part of the game: exploring, completing quests, gathering resources...

When you feel stuck, it is usually because you need to unlock one of the area (by paying golden walnuts to the parrots), then more golden walnuts will become accessible.
