Switch Game Crashes and Freezing Drops in Mines

I’ve encountered two issues while playing in split-screen co-op mode:

The game crashes unexpectedly. This has happened two or three times already
In some cases, drops (such as stones or items) in the mines freeze. You can still search for the ladder, and when you move to another floor the drops seems to be working as normal

System Information:

Operating System: Nintendo Switch
In-game Language: Spanish (Latin America)
Mode: Multiplayer co-op (split-screen)
Controller: Pro Controller and Joy-Cons
Version Number: v.1.6.9

Additional Information: The issues seem to happen intermittently. The game crash appears random and not tied to a specific action. The freezing drops mostly occur in the mines, though it's not always the same floor type

I have the same issue with the mines freezing. It also happens in the skull cavern. Enemies pause in place, looted items don't loot, my sword swing animation remains in the air. Sometimes I can fix it by heading out and staying back at level 1 before continuing where I was at but not always and sometimes have to wait for a new day or reboot. It's only happening to me, the main farm character, and not any secondary characters in co-op.

I have this exact same issue, in Playstation 5 local co-op.

I have the same thing though it seems like it’s improved since the patch that was maybe a week or so ago. It used to be I had to exit to fix it, now if I staircase to the next level that usually does it. A bit annoying but much less frustrating.

This is happening to me as well. Every 10-15 levels there will be 1-3 levels that freeze. You can still kill any monsters that spawn in on screen and get credit for them in quest objectives, but you can not pick up any drops from rocks or monsters.
