Hi,
I've been playing SV for about two years, using a USB Freebox Revolution gamepad.
The layout is similar to a Playstation controller, and the assigned buttons in SV were indeed similar.
Starting with some recent update, I've had issues with that gamepad.
On November 4th, right thumb buttons were swapped. "Check/Do Action" (bottom/X/A) became "Use tool", "Use tool" (left/square/X) became "Access menu" and "Access menu" (top/triangle/Y) became "Check/Do Action". I tried changing controls in the options to no avail - when I pressed a button, I was said that the button I wanted to assign was already used.
I can't tell which version of SV was running.
The following time I launched SV (November 10th, there was a reboot in between) , my controller stopped working altogether - doesn't even do anything in menus. I entered the game using mouse & keyboard, opened options in order to try reassigning gamepad buttons, but this time when prompted for a new key/button and pressing a gamepad button it was not even detected - no "button is already assigned" anymore.
Tried rebooting, changing USB ports etc. , it's still the same.
Using the standard Windows gamepad tool I could confirm that my controller was still working and detected, all buttons OK.
The gamepad is identified in Windows as :
(I used the code block to show verbatim the multiple spaces!) .
AFAIK it uses the default Windows HID gamepad drivers. In Windows gamepad tool the right thumb buttons are identified as :
Top/triangle/Y : 1
Right/circle/B : 2
Bottom/X/A : 3
Left/square/X : 4
This happened on Version 1.6.13 build 24313 and 1.6.14 build 24317.
No error log file was created.
I have a Thinkpad X220T running Windows 10, I run SV through GOG Galaxy - currently 2.0.80.33 beta.
If there is any diagnosis tool I can run to report more technical info about the controller, please tell me and I'll happily do that.
Thanks!
