With the forums got a little overhaul, I figured we should have a place to discuss it and ask questions, since there's already been some confusion with the new stuff and I have a couple of 'em myself.

Where's the preview button? Deemed unnecessary and gone? Might be just me not being able to find it.
Why can't we change someone's name in a quote as easily as before? I'm assuming you can still do it if you type out the BBCode yourself. Not the most useful thing, but it was fun in forum games.

For now that's all! I have a way bigger list of the things I love about it, figured we should have a thread for this anyway.
 
This new layout is definitely taking some getting used to! I noticed there's some new boxes around too, like "trending threads" and "similar threads". It kinda just feels like extra screen clutter to me, but it might be nice to have.

Not sure if it's different on other devices or anything, but for me it looks like the preview button is in the upper right of the reply box. It doesn't seem to work exactly the same as before though?

Haven't noticed the trending thing. Similar threads does seem unnecessary... You're right, we'll see if it proves to be good.

The magnifying glass with a document? I thought it was a bit of a different thing, but yeah seems to be it. The old one was better then...
 
Ok, something I just figured out. Despite uploading a gif to your banner it does not stay animated. Well I guess still images are better than none.
 
Anybody figure out where the inline spoiler button went? It might be because I'm on mobile, but the drop-down where you could apply a spoiler to selected text turned into a little mini-ribbon with icons, and they are a little obtuse to me. The little eye with the slash through it makes sense as the spoiler button, but the ones on either side of it are for inserting a line and for inserting code...

(ETA) Never mind I found it. It's now over in the other vertical ellipsis drop-down/ribbon, and looks like a little mask.

I've also discovered that those new little ribbons are impossible for me to use with my tablet in portrait mode, because when I select text the pop-up that gives me options to copy/translate/search etc. (function of the OS and/or keyboard) completely covers up the additional row of icons. Hmmm.

Found it, I think: press the three dots next to the B and I, then it’s the symbol with the mask
No idea why it’s so far from the regular spoiler…

Indeed, I did also finally find it thank you! Yeah, not quite sure why it moved ... maybe it's logically broken into things that only apply to parts of paragraphs (left drop-down) and things that apply to/insert whole paragraphs (right drop-down). Maybe. Haven't looked at it exhaustively.
 
Uh… I noticed the forums isn’t accessible on desktop. On mobile I can access the forums just fine but when I try to access the forums on desktop I get redirected to the Wiki. Why is that?
 
For me the forum link works at work, on Windows 11, but at home using Windows 10, the main forum page redirects to the wiki. Fortunately I had one tab with a forum thread open and was able to find workarounds to reach at least some of the forums I frequent and have those on separate tabs, but it feels like being visually impaired or something.
 
I never checked on my PC, but on my tablet I had the same issue ... but I couldn't access anything at all! It tried to redirect me to pages that don't exist on the wiki site. But now everything seems to be working ok again. Weird.
 
I've had all the issues mentioned above on mobile too, so I don't think any of us are alone, regardless of the device.

I don't think there are new ones, but I've never paid attention to them, so don't trust me too much.

Edit: tried to go to the what's-new page right after posting this, and it's once again redirecting me to a nonexistent wiki page.
