The 1.6 update adds two boosts (which I won't detail here to minimize spoilers) to the amount of friendship gained when talking to villagers. I think it would be neat if this mechanic was expanded upon via food buffs. Some of the old recipes could be repurposed to grant such buffs, and there could be tiers as there are with most other food buffs. So a simple recipe (something like ice cream) could boost friendship a little while a more complex one (like pink cake) could boost it a lot. Qi seasoning could further enhance the friendship gained, as well as the duration, per usual.
