Flirting with Darkness (Sam and Seb ship)

Hey I've been working on this for a while and thought I'd share (I'm really proud of it).
Like stardew valley, this piece of writing has some adult-ish themes and is only recommended if you are comfortable with it. Thanks! <3

Sam wakes up to a tapping on his window. Or at least he thinks so. He’s a very deep sleeper but has never woken up naturally before six. He looks at the clock on his bedside table, and the bright blue light flashes 3:15 AM. His inner conflict is quickly resolved when he hears the tapping sound again, much louder this time. As the pounding echoes through his ears he pictures his band’s most recent song being created. He then jerks back to reality, sits up, and opens the window.
Abby and Seb are standing outside, and Abigail has a very pleased look on her face. “Hand over the money,” she says, holding her hand out to Seb. Sebastian begrudgingly reaches into his pocket and pulls out ten bucks.
“I told you to stop making bets with Abigail!” Sam says, ruffling Sebastian’s purple hair. “She always wins!” Sebastian jerks his head away from Sam and sticks his tongue out.
“Okay, but seriously, what’s happening?” Sam continues. “Please don’t tell me we’re going to the mountains to throw potatoes again. Actually where do you get those things?” He whispers the last part to Seb.
“Nope!” Abigail says, cutting off Sebastian’s reply. “We’re going to a party! Rumor has it that everyone will be there *and that they’ll be drinks!*”
So the trio trudges off through the woods, to a section of Cindersap that’s only ever open for the flower dance. Someone laid a log across the broken bridge, which is definitely unsafe, but whatever. It’s a party.
When they get there, Sam realizes Abigail was right. Haley is clinging onto Alex’s arm, Emily is being trailed by Clint, Leah and Elliot are quietly talking over drinks in the corner, next to Shane who’s sitting on the floor already drunk. Penny is having a quiet conversation with Maru, and even Harvey is lurking awkwardly. The thing that surprises Sam the most, though, is that Sable is there. She waves at Abby, who’s already rushing over, leaving Sam and Sebastian standing there awkwardly. Sam looks over at Sebastian, who is blatantly staring at Abigail, but then looks away quickly. Something about the way he’s still blushing makes Sam’s heart sink a little, though he doesn’t know why.

The party is fun. There’s music, drinks, all that stuff. Abby introduces Sam and Seb to Sable, the new farmer. It seems like they’re close, and Sam thinks they go well together, especially with the witchy vibes she gives off.
Sam dances with Penny, who he’s close friends with because she babysits Vincent a lot, but he never takes his eyes off Sebastian. He’s standing by the bar and looks a bit alone. Sam, in an effort to cheer him up, saunters over with a mischievous glint in his eyes. “I say we play a game of drinking poker,” he shouts over the loud music.
“Sam, you know I’m awful at that stuff!” Sebastian complains. “And there’s no way I’ll win if Abby is playing.”
As if on que, Abigail runs over, giggling. “Did I hear something about poker?” she smiles.

The game ends with Abigail and Sam supporting a very drunk Sebastian, who it turns out is even worse at poker than he says he is. And of course their parents have no idea why everyone is tired and has an awful headache the next morning. They also don’t question that Abigail, Sam, and Sebastian fell asleep in their own houses and all woke up in Seb’s room. Sam is the first to wake up. Of course he is. It’s not that he wakes up early, hell no, it’s that Abigail and Sebastian would never wake up early, not even if their lives are at stake.
Sam looks around the room. Seb is in the exact same position that they hauled him into after he passed out last night, Abby is curled neatly in a chair, and Sam himself is sprawled on the floor face down. Sam pushes himself up off the ground and dusts off his dirty PJs that he snuck through the woods in. There are a few grass and beer stains that he’ll have to ask Penny to get out next time they’re together. Oh well.
Abigail’s the next to get up, of course, because Seb loves sleeping in as much as he loves frogs. She’s wearing a minidress because she actually knew they were going to a party, unlike Sam and Sebastian. Seb’s wearing a hoodie and jeans, because he always wears that, even when sleeping, even though IT’S SUMMER.
Abigail tiptoes up to Sam, glancing at Seb. “I kinda want to prank him right now,” she whispers.
Sam looks at Sebastian sleeping peacefully and says, “That’s cruel. Let’s do it!”
Abby pulls out a pen and rolls up Sebastian's sleeve, drawing an intricate design of piano keys up his arm. She is a good artist, Sam has to admit. She then tiptoes away and pretends to go back to sleep.
