Solved Fish Ponds

It seems that putting fish into fish ponds scrubs them of their rarity.

Here's my story:

I had recently bought my first fish pond and was excited to try it out. As a result, I grabbed one of my best fishes, a mutant carp, and plopped it in (I did the same with a super cucumber later on). However, to my surprise, when I removed the fishes from my pond, they no longer had gold quality stars. This decreased their value and made them less special in general. I experimented, removing fishes in all the ways I could think, and nothing helped them retain their stars.

I'm not entirely sure if this is a bug but it is something I'd like to see changed.

That's the way fish ponds have always behaved, to my knowledge, so it's not a bug. I imagine it was coded that way to make it easier to keep track of. If ponds could hold different qualities of fish, it might cause problems. Not a coder though, so I've got no idea.

Perhaps in a future update, something could be added to toss into a fish pond to increase the base quality of fish from that pond. Maybe something like a silver/gold/iridium fish cracker; with each tier of cracker being rarer and harder to obtain than the last.

Yeah, it's not a bug. I guess the reasoning was that if you're putting a fish in a fish pond it's for their produce and their quality shouldn't matter, since you're incentivized not to remove the fish so they reproduce and give you better stuff.
