I like the crabs and the pufferfish for this reason! They look so happy jumping out in the morning. I'll admit I only added slimejack's to the list due to the pond recoloring properties but since Sebatian is already trying to sell my farmer on raising slimes, getting in more slimes to press *nto eggs with definitely be a bonus!


Thank you so much for checking! I've already gotten some from my crab pond/recycle machines, as well as all the cloth I needed to build a mill. It's one of the reasons I always have a crab pond, lol. I think the snails you memtioned earlier also give recycables, so maybe I'll get more!

A lot of crab pot guys give you recyclables. Check the wiki for more info (as much as I usually don't recommend the wiki...), But, for some it's more down to which fellers you want to keep and not so much their output

I often do the night market fish, because I love them. Sometimes I do one pond each of the mines fish, just to have a matching set to go with the lava eel. Sometimes slimejacks just for fun. Sometimes one each of the island fish. I just really like having a full set of fish.

I put all of the mine fish into one aquarium, because it is particularly striking

That's crazy. How many fish do you remove at once and how long does it take them all to respawn?

usually the 1st fish pond quest is easy (and easy/costless to reset) so most of the ponds stay at 5 population while any that have easy quests after that go up to 7 and sometimes 10.
I fish out 4 fish from each pond, and 5 from the ponds with 7 and 10 fish (as I use the quest marker on the 5 population ones as an indicator to harvest). That's currently around 300 fish per harvest.
As for how often they reproduce, that's up to the fish, anchovy are exceptionally fast, only taking a single day, but some like stingray take up to 4 days. Currently the only fish I'm done is albacore, though anchovy is pretty close.

And are those coops on Grandpa's memorial island? Can you get inside them all?

Yep, they're all accessible and no building clipping is required either, it's a pretty tight fit though!

I decided to eliminate a shed and move the slime hutch to the memorial island to fit in a couple more fish ponds. Now I'm thinking I might be able to fit both. Thanks for the inspiration!

This thread caused me to make 5 more fish ponds for the legendary ii fish just for the pretty colors haha

I have each of the Legendary fish in ponds now (as well as six others) and they are beautiful!
