This is the first time I've used the cinema since unlocking it, and when I went to see the movie I got this error. I restarted the game and did pretty much everything again, but I still got the error a second time. I didn't get into the cutscene, and when I tried to go back in the door it said the movie had already finished. I tried to leave the theater, and it asked if I wanted to leave without seeing the movie. I coudn't talk to Sandy either, when I left and tried to go back in it said that "a movie was currently screening, please come back later". The crane game was also available, and the cashier asked if I enjoyed the movie.
I'm currently on year 3, and I unlocked the theather in spring (dunno if that's relevant).
