Yes, you're correct on both counts. ^_^ I just thought if the decor further away from the event stayed with one festival, then the same would be true of another.

but afaik at any event the decor disappears, and comes back the next day.

The night market is special because it doesn't use the same map as regular play/other festivals, everything you place on them stays there and isn't available until the map reappears the next year (though some stuff placed indoor like the submarine will be placed in chests for you, in 1.5 at least)

Same stuff (or partially the same), goes for the desert fest
