It could be, nobody really knows what a wolpertinger looks like, sightings vary greatly because they are said to be very shy and the observers are usually at least a little drunk... The creature is usually described as a rabbit with antlers, sometimes with wings and/or bird feet.Interesting, I wonder if it could be the same thing?
