Same with me, summer is often too hot for my taste and winter often only cold, muddy and foggy here.

Here there isn't really a spring. Winter spans from November to May and then thereat is fall. Leaves turn colours as early as August and we have our Thanksgiving in October because we want it to be in fall, not winter.

How do people work in those conditions?

They bundle up. Long underwear, pants, snow pants, long sleeve shirt, sweater, jacket, parka, toque, wool socks, insulated boots and who knows what else. People with glasses have an advantage because they get eye protection. The roads are very slippery so you see a lot of cars in the ditch. There are more roads closed than open I'm pretty sure. Also in Canada everyone works inside except for construction workers but they can't work in the winter.
