Farms I've brought to Perfection

The first was Angelica, on Sunvale farm, married to Abigail. I'd do some things differently now, but I like how I placed the buildings.

The second was Minerva, on Ascend farm. I quite like how I managed to place the buildings, and because of it I married Shane. Though with what I know now, I'd not have bothered with the gates for the animals. Even when I had them open, they didn't go down the stairs. I'd also have tried to remove some of the bushes.

My third farm brought to perfection was Undine farm, with the farmer Cecilia who married Harvey. Had to cut the image a bit to make it upload. This was the first time I tried making a mushroom log grove using the ideas of @riklaunim which allowed me to get enough money for the gold clock before the end of year 3.

My fourth farm was Moated farm, run by Auris who married Sebastian. Mushroom processing shed next to the grove, kegs and preserve jars in the southern sheds.

The fifth farm was Dappled farm, run by Olivia who married Leah. First time I played a farm more suited for a vertical layout to the crop field. Had only just made my first blue grass starter before buying the gold clock in early winter. The clock is hid in the space between the obelisks.

how do you reach perfection?
Get to the walnut room on Ginger Island first. Then you can check the perfection tracker to see what you still have left to do to reach it. Maybe the easiest of the 11 criteria is to have all skills at 10, so that your farmer level is 25. 3 of the criteria are what I call yes/no parts, where won't get partial credit for having them partially done like you can with the other stuff.

i didnt realize it was so complicated, how long does it take to get to fishing level 10?

Depends on how much you work at it. Apart from actual fishing, you also earn skill points for what you catch with crab pots, and when picking up produce from a fish pond. In my latest save I reached level 10 on the 5th of Spring year 2. Trying to get all the prizes from the trout derby and the squid fest helps me a lot, as does trying to catch all kinds of species available each season. The two special orders from Demetrius to either catch 10 of one specific fish (preferably a common fish), or 20 fish from one area, also pushes me to go out and work at it.

Thanks for posting all of these! I like what you’ve done on all the farms. The obelisk and coop placements on Hilltop are ingenious, and I see we think alike about shed placement.
I have had animals go up and down the stairs on Hilltop. You may be doing a better job of making sure they can find grass.
Now I really want to try the Meadowlands farm.

Thanks! When I was looking at the map on the wiki, I felt like the coop might fit there, so I used the planner to see if that and some of the other buildings would fit where I wanted. The first two years, the grass ran out pretty quickly for the animals, so I opened the gates. They found the grass behind the tea hedge easily enough, but what was below the stairs seemed too far for them to notice. Main reason for not using gates if I make another hill-top save is that they're kind of annoying to pass through all the time, and some of them take up space that could grow grass instead.
Meadowlands was quite fun. The southern part was a great source of wood as I usually just went around once a season to give more saplings a chance to grow.

i love staring at this
perfection
ahhhhh
Thanks! Maybe not perfection design-wise, but I felt they were still good enough to show off.

Omg I’m so glad, I have tons of crab pots on my main save but I haven’t been utilizing them that well so I’ll definitely start using them more often bc I hate fishing lol
