What the title says, apparently from sometime between when the farm was created, (I don't know when), to when I was writing this post, farmhands became unable to join the farm if it is named a space.
This is what the people in bug reports on the discord server said:
"Also - purely for 'bug' reporting purposes - Farm was tested in 1.6.8. No idea what version the farm was originally created on. In save XML, farm name was stored as <farmName/>:"
My save file in question and an image of the issue are linked here.
No mods were used.
You can STILL name your farm using a space, including other things such as names and favorite items as well.
There is an existing character on this save called "Anon", if you attempt loading in as a Farmhand, showing it was possible to join before, I'm guessing when it wasn't broken.
