Dwarf friendship glitch ?

Hi everyone. I’m new to this forum, but I’ve been searching all over and can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong or if I have some weird glitch in my game.

I’ve found and donated all the dwarf scrolls and gotten the translation guide. I have unlocked the Dwarf’s shop and bought everything in its inventory. However, I’m unable to give the dwarf any gifts or have conversation with him. I’m at 78% perfection and I really want to become friends with him to get closer to that perfection goal. Is there a cutscene that has to happen first? Something I could be missing? Or is this definitely a glitch? Does anyone know of something I could try to do to fix it?

Does he just give the standard garbled(pre-translation guide) response when you try talking to him?

No, there’s no dialogue. It will only open his store inventory.

I dunno sorry maybe try going to before you donated the final one if you can and redonate it

This might deserve a bug report. Not knowing Dwarvish gets dwarvish dialogue from the Dwarf and prevents the shop from appearing. So this would seem to be something else.

Huh yeah that's odd, I agree with Maher in sending a bug report in the appropriate section on the forums

Hi, I thought I was having this problem as well. Turns out there are two dwarves… one on Ginger Island and one in the local mines. I believe you can only have friendship with the one in the local mines. Not sure if this was your problem too!
