Solved Duplicate 'level up' popups (every night)

Above I have a forum thread from January of a persistent issue. In short, every night I get every single 'level up XYZ' popup even though I've already leveled and been at that level for ages. It skips the professions (so 5 and 10 never appear) but all of the others do.

It's not game breaking, only very annoying since you have to 'esc' out of the pop up 30ish times each night. Happens on Mac, Windows, Modded and unmodded, mixed results after a clean uninstall and reinstall of all mods, smapi, clearing and cleaning steam cache/memory.

If ANYONE knows anything it'd be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for bringing this up to our attention. Looks like according to the post you linked, you're dismissing the level up by pressing the ESC key. It turns out this doesn't actually the level up. We've fixed the issue on our end and the fix should be coming soon in a hotfix, but in the meantime, click the 'ok' button in the corner instead of pressing ESC.

When I tried that and loaded into the next day pressing e and esc, normally how I open my inventory makes my UI change scale like I was toggling my UI to be 55% o the size rather than the 85% I play it. it looks normal when I don't press those keys and only shrinks as long as I am pressing it. I've since quit that day and am restarting the game. If it's still there I'll rollback one save day and see what happens

okay, interesting. I force quit my game after the UI issue, relaunched and played through the day, after quitting the game where I'd clicked ok on every box during the night and I seem to have no issues, no popups at night any more. MAGIC. (I had tried clicking each ok box once previously to no avail hence not trying it again)

whatever wizardry this was I appreciate it!

This should be fixed according to 1.5.6 changelog so I'll mark it as solved!

• Fixed a bug where pressing ESC to dismiss the level up screen would dismiss the menu without applying the level up, causing it to reappear every night.
