Dragon teeth?

Help! I've explored the volcano on at least 10 different days, and I made it to the top and saw the forge and unlocked the side door. But in all of this time I've seen zero dragon remains or found any teeth. I want to build the Obelisk! What am I missing??

Try a few more times. They aren't very common so nothing wrong with you not finding them yet. I always have to do dedicate Volcano runs to collect all of them needed for the obelisk and crafting

Buffering your luck or have a high-luck-day might also Help finding them. And kill the Lava Lurks, they sometimes drop them. Good luck

Does having a high luck day REALLY affect that much?

I don't know for sure, but it's my experience, since I always struggle to find enough of them. Luck buffers help much, so why not a lucky day?

I guess so. Personally I don't give a flying rat about what the spirits say. I don't even watch the TV lol.

You can also get Dragon Teeth from Stingray Ponds so opening up Ginger East as soon as you can to access the Cave to catch Stingrays is always a focus for me. Remember to keep 1 Tooth around because the Stingrays will ask for one while they're populating the Pond. Like @Cuddlebug I also focus on killing Lava Lurks for the occasional extra tooth like a good Dragon Dentist!

Yeah, me too, but sometimes after coming home from the mines or dungeons with a Backpack full of useful things I watch TV and it says, it was a lucky day and I think: oh, so that's why...

Just from my experience lava lurk might be your best bet, it’s still uncommon drop but it’s better than wasting real life time for an empty promise.

I’m not sure if it helped but I usually monster musk myself before going in and kill every monster worth killing if it’s a dedicated cinder shards/dragon teeth run, luck matters more for rare chests if you’re going for it but honestly I don’t really care about those chests after I got the hot java ring

That’s what I did on my first farm, it’s surprisingly reliable if you’re not rushing lol

Nope, daily and buff luck won't do anything in this case.

Luck may actually lower your chances, as higher luck leads to slightly more favourable chest generation which generally form on maps instead of skeletons

Yeah I'd recommend on keeping an eye out for lava lurks, too, monster musk will help get more and a burglar ring will effectively double how many you get, so it's absolutely worth it.

They're just a load more consistent than trying to look for skeletons, and nothing stops you from doing both, a forage dragontooth will be pretty obvious when you see it.

Unless you want rare chests I can’t see anything that needs luck in the volcano dungeon, as for hot java ring (correct me if I’m wrong cause somehow I can get it rather consistently) it is before you crack your first golden coconut?
But luck wise I usually don’t rely on it much, I’m not speeding through perfection and from what I’ve tested, it really depends on your strategy.

One thing I’ll do to make it easier is probably double magnetism, those dragon teeth will fall into the lava 🫠

Killing as many Lava Lurks as you can.

And a lot of being stubborn, patient, lucky, and willing to spend a whole day on looting the Volcano.

I don't know how useful you will find this because I already had mastery by the time I was considering obelisks, and I don't know if you do.

What I did for the Island obelisk was focus on killing the lava lurks, which I found to be more efficient than looking for them on the ground. I also set up a stingray fish pond (with a golden animal cracker), since they can also give battery packs and cinder shards.

For the volcano I went on days with the blessing of speed or blessing of +1 ore and killed any lava lurks I saw (within reach). I generally spent the whole day in the volcano so I could reach the chest on floor 9, but you definitely don't need to if you don't want to.

For the stingrays you have to sacrifice one dragon tooth so they can give you more, and you can catch all ten quickly with targeted bait so you don't have to wait for them to grow.

Just don't do what I did one time! Went to the volcano wanting to get more dragon teeth. Got over half way with no results. Finally see a lava lurk and defeat it, only to watch the dragon tooth sink into the lava because my inventory was full!

It happened!!! I found an Island Warp totem and waited for a "rain tomorrow" forecast (so I didn't need to worry about my cat's water bowl). I packed my backpack before bed, and at 6am, hopped out of bed, got dressed, pet my cats, and Zoom! I went straight to the volcano. On floor 3, there was a dragon skeleton waiting! I ended up finding 4 dragon's teeth and a Parrot Egg before midnight The crazy thing is that it is my birthday IRL so I guess this was my gift from CA I have a stingray pond already brewing, so I'm on my way to the Island Obelisk
