Does anybody have any suggestions?

When I'm looking for inspiration, I go online and look at other people's farms they've posted and try to find details that look nice to me. Then I try to find a corner of my farm to try it out and see how I like it. I don't like copying other's ideas exactly. I mainly take their idea and personalize it with my own aesthetics.

There is also a farm planner resource on the SDV Wiki you could try to brainstorm different lay outs for your farm.

I prefer to leave about half my farm to grass and trees as the more organized and meticulous farms look like little cities which remind me of the Jojacube at Zuzu the Farmer escaped from at the beginning of the game. However if pressed, I'll theme little parts of the farm for the seaside or a swamp a forest. My current farm has a tongue-in-cheek shrine to Gold as I finally got that infernally ugly Clock. One thing I always try for is a Mushroom themed area, with the giant Mushroom Trees as the centerpiece. Leaving a number of mature Trees up all Fall will help this. I have a weird cluster of Meteors in one corner of the farm so I need to make a purple themed area there soon. I suppose if I'm ever to convince The Henchman ever to live on the farm, I should theme a Shed for him to make him feel more at home. One can dream, can't they...

Thank you! This helps a lot!

Thanks! I will check out that planner

I second leaving some open space, where possible. (If you’re on the Riverland Farm) space is already at a premium)

The “brick path” is my preferred look for paths around my farm. It consumes clay and stone, so i can only do a little bit at a time, but the place feels like it’s coming together as they grt built. Flaming braziers, or Luau Totems, or the large Candy Canes, can make for “road signs” at anyplace your roads take a turn.

if you have large bodies of water on your farm, I’d recommend putting your Coop somewhat near, so your ducks can swim.

Planned groves of trees can look very nice. It might not be as productive as having the fruit trees in the greenhouse, but the asthetics of an orchard is very nice.

Thanks! I actually have never used the brick road, I will have to try it out.

Most often I divide my farm into thematic zones. Try to make a zone with a forest in the form of a square, and in the center there are 4 ponds located in the corners, draw paths to them and place benches with lanterns, this way you can make a small and cozy park
I am on 4 corners so this would look very nice! Thanks!

I don’t love how I decorated my farm does anyone have any suggestions?
No point asking me, I'm very simple and basic when it comes to decorating my farm. I like to keep it as natural looking as possible. I never use paths that look unnatural, so i tend to stick with gravel or pepple paths. I try to keep some trees on my farm as well and only use fences for my animal paddock (so they dont get in the way when I'm planting up the fields, because it can get stressful when you have loads of animals). For this reason i tend to favour the 4 corners map, because i fence off 2 sections for my animals to use. While i use the other 2 for my fields and buildings.
