Do you think artisan goods needs re-work?

The juice thing with veggies doesn’t make sense I can’t just put vegetables into kegs, it should be a recipe not a product like pickled tea leaves worth more than tea and 99% of the time vegetables are under valued by far against fruits selling them raw is more preferable always who seen any of these juices like yam, squash, cabbage, parsnip, radish, garlic, fern, eggplant juices are silly overall imo there could be a combined recipe for cooking like a green juice, I mean instead rice juice should be sake, vodka we don’t need distillery. Pickles should be only option with maybe combined with vinegar, it could work like furnaces wouldn’t take the input without the second input(coal, vinegar, sugar) for jams sugar needed. We can make our own vinegar and sugar and buy them aswell but other than just for a couple recipes they have no use which should be the key ingiridents

I think they absolutely could be, but that could really be said about any system in order to make it more developed, complex, or even just more intuitive.

It really comes down to how you actually execute on that wish in a way that's constructive as opposed to just changing the whole system and creating a whole new set of issues. There are possibilities about direct changes like you mentioned yourself, or even indirect ways like buffing/nerfing professions to rebalance the whole 'crop experience' so to speak.

One issue I have with trying to make things realistic as you often lose some of the game magic that comes with simplicity. There's an inherent ease with being able to put a vegetable into a keg and always receiving some appropriate juice item that you know will have the same price/energy/health modifiers as any other vegetable in a keg. There are fun ways to implement this like with hops where you create a whole different experience (the very fast paced, high effort experience), but otherwise you may just end up with a reskinned item that doesn't add much functional use to the game and often can be more annoying than not (like caviar for example, which feels kinda out of place and is just an annoyance if anything).

Variety is good, but it has to be variety in means, not just in the ends.

Somebody, a long time ago, raised an interesting argument, concerning "juice". Said individual (don't remember if it was the Steam forums, Reddit, Here or Elsewhere, though), argued that FRUIT should produce juice, instead... And that not everything should end up becoming "wine", either!

Then, there is poor Pam and her funny sidequest, which instead of premium vodka, she ends up swallowing disusting, fermented Potato juice...

Methinks the alcohol needs some reworking, but at the same time, am perfectly okay with the current system, as is. What i would absolutely insist on, though, is for delicious MEAT to be cooked and edible! Whenever i am looking at our animals, i beget a mouthwatering vibe, coupled with illusions of roast meat and various tasty, meat-based dishes!

i'm a wee disappointed about the keg system, specifically that putting in apples, you get wine instead of cider or juice. i love both apple cider and apple juice irl so i wish i could have it in game too

i like the vegetable juice, but only for kale, carrots, and bok choi. i feel like absolutely nobody wants a jug of broccoli juice, because that feels nasty. i like that green juice idea you mentioned, because i feel like that would be the perfect way to use veggies without having one jug of yam juice or something gross, maybe make it a green smoothie.:crop:

and i feel like wine should be reserved for grapes, starfruit and ancient fruit, since that makes more sense as starfruit and ancient fruits are the most profitable and grapes make wine irl. the other fruits should make juice. or like the idea for the green smoothie/juice, make one for the fruits. :apple:

as far as jams and pickles go, i think wheat being called a vegetable and being pickle-able is gross lol, i don't think anyone is gonna go "mmm! pickled raw, salty, unrefined grains!" i think pickling is good for beets, green beans, cauliflower, and carrots, but the other veggies should go to a smoothie. i think all fruits are good for jams honestly, but maybe adding sugar for the process would make more sense. :stardrop:
