If you ask me, no. Definitely no.
Yeah tbh, used the original one and got down to 110 in the mines lollll
Trying to use a Fiberglass Rod to catch the Crimsonfish(I had to buy the Iridium from Willy after losing the fish)

I try to upgrade my pickaxe as soon as I can, axe comes after. For the fishing rod I rush the fiberglass rod cuz I hate waiting for fish to bite, and if I buy the iridium rod really depends on if I want to go for legendaries now or later (on my current save I want yo try to catch them with challenge bait so I'm holding off)
I always forget about upgrading hoe and watering can, maybe upgrading them much later than everything else just so they don't stand out, being stone in the iridium tool set.
Trash can? Yeah I'm not upgrading that until I randomly remember you can do that in year 3 or something lol
I really rush the first backpack upgrade because I hate how little space we're given at the start. And I buy the second one when I have the money for it that I don't need for anything else

Bro, absolutely, it's a top priority. That frickin stingray would've been hell without the Advanced Iridium Rod from Mastery, and the Iridium Scythe is amazing, especially when I have about 300 crops growing at a time.

The Iridium Watering Can should be your top priority when you have access to the Statue of Perfection or Skull Caverns, it's a godsend from CA himself if you have a field without sprinklers.

The Iridium Hoe is amazing in that transition period between seasons where you have no time to plant a seasonal crop and you end up having to re-till everything.

The Iridium Axe is amazing in mid-game where you have to clear a bunch of trees from the farm.

The Iridium Pickaxe... is unnecessary, now that I think about it. You only really need Iron until Ginger Island.

The Iridium Trash Can... maybe save it for last.

The Iridium Pan... Nevermind, save this for last.

I like the idea of getting an extra 15% (over the gold trash can) for the stuff that I picked up during my mining run but can't keep. (Or whenever I've got a full backpack and can't just drop something and get it later).

The pan, though, yeah. I usually just stash the copper pan in a chest somewhere, just in case I'll need it someday.

I do a lot of volcano runs and don't bring bombs, so upgraded pickaxe is a must for me. Funny, because I do not focus on crops, hoe and watering can are much lower priority for me. I only carry the pan around until I get a lucky ring.
