From artifact spots and treasure from fishing. I usually find one by Robin's house. Once I found one deep in the mine. It's pretty rare. It takes two weeks to hatch I think. Or you can use wallpaper 108 and put it in the incubator.

If you're looking in fishing chests I've now found one in the desert pond and the submarine! I also found one in the desert mine but that way was a lot more difficult for me

I got the one I hatched in the Skull Cavern. I just kept dropping down with staircases (so I didn't die on the way) until I got to a Prehistoric Floor, where I predictably died, but not before spotting an egg and grabbing it. I've gotten others in the quarry.

The trick wirh the wallpaper you pit in the incubator dont work anymore, imho since the 1.4 update

All of my dino eggs (4 games-worth, maybe?) have come from artifact spots (one right by Pam's trailer at one point) or fishing. I dislike the Skull Caverns intensely, and have never hit a prehistoric level there.

I got mine in the quarry, year 1.
