Decorating the cellar

Is it possible to put flooring or Wallpaper in the cellar?
I'm trying to turn it into a library but I'm unable to change the flooring or wallpaper. Am i missing something, or is it just not possible?

I don't think you can, but why turn it into the lib, just use a renovation room, those get huge

You can place craftable pathing in the cellar. Not sure if you can put up wall hangings against the walls, but you can at least redo the floor that way. Maybe if you're going for a library, you can hide most of the walls with tall bookcases.

Yeah that's what I would also recommend, it's a little more effort (and a fair bit more restrictive vs all the colourful floor/wall deco you can place elsewhere), but it's not impossible.

One other recommendation I would give is to really lean into the vibe that the cellar already has, maybe a run down pub, an old dance floor, or build out the idea of a real cellar more with kegs and crop-processing machinery. That way you don't have to put so much effort to change what the cellar looks like and kind of go along with what's already there.
