Daily Chit Chat

Feeling a bit chatty today, so here's what my Motivation calrndar says for this week:

For years, you worry about what others think of you. And then suddenly you realize: They aren't even thinking 😜
This is so true and I so hope my idiot brain never forgets about this ;-;

Also hiii!

Technically the last post wins thread is the forum's big gc, but this is cool as well!
Yeah sorry, I've been AFK

I'm playing Valheim with the boys!

Odin has been unkind...

I feel like I often hear this and the opposite - that everyone's gonna look and judge from the same people, and its kind of weird. Guess really depends on context&situaton and most of the worries are obsolete.

TLPW has a bit of a different feel to it, I dunno.

They're surely are. And yeah, I heard it often from my grandma, whatever version seemed to fit that moment.
And I learned for myself, that getting to the point where you don't worry anymore is a process that takes time and self confidence. Sometimes I think it somehow goes together with this "growing-up-thing"... 😁🤷🏻‍♀️

For all the sweettooths out there:

"This weekend in Treviso, northern Italy, a special world championship is taking place for the tenth time: the Tiramisu-Making World Championship. 12,000 ladyfingers, 170 kilograms of mascarpone, and 300 kilograms of cocoa powder will be used in the competition. Francesco Redi founded the Tiramisu World Cup, and he takes it quite seriously."

My uncle plays Valheim.
It's a good game, but IDK if I would be able to enjoy it alone as much as I do with friends. This game kinda makes you feel like you're building a Viking village, so playing it alone personally don't make it fun for me haha

His favourite WHAT

Well, ancient gods always received sacrifices from their believers, so did the Nordic gods, too. Idk what Odins favourite was, but maybe he wouldn't have caused such wheater, when he'd been given a sacrifice. Maybe he would have had a fat mutton or a large serving of mead—who knows...

Um... Considering what I know about the sacrifices to the Nordic gods... It was called a "blot", or "blood" to translate it to English. It was a rather gory affair to modern sensibilities. I dont know what kind of animal or person would be needed, but most likely a male.

I'm not sure either, but thinking of how the Vikings liked their mead, you probably can't go wrong with a good portion of it

O_O

That's fairrrr...

Seems like a puppy Truman Show 🤔
I never saw that movie. Another slow-tv production that's been done several years now, is The Great Moose Migration, which runs a few weeks each Spring at a place where moose like to cross a river. Mostly just like a window to nature, and schools have found that it makes the classrooms calmer if they've got that show running. I doubt the puppy slow-tv would have the same effect. Well, the classroom might be calmer, but they'd not be focusing on learning anything from the teacher.
