Crazy tip is to skip days and ignore the villagers. Always be sleeping.
Moving your bed into a Coop, wake up, put eggs in mayo machines, sleep, and repeat for 2 years or so. Go Joja route, buy barns, sheep, auto petters etc. Insane. Get perfection while only experiencing 1% of the game.

Farmer Bobbi sets up the very laziest simplest low-effort ways to make money so she can spend time doing other more fun things while the money comes in on it's own. She bought the Golden Clock in 3 seasons this way.

Crops:
Greenhouse full with almost all Ancient Fruit
192 tilled Farm spots with Deluxe Speed-Gro and Rhubarb (Sp), Starfruit (Su), Pumpkin (Fa)
Ginger maybe 1/2 filled with Blueberries and Pineapple (sourced entirely from Mixed Seeds, she just grows what they make)

Machines:
1.5 Big Sheds with 69 Kegs and about 160 Jars
125 Casks in basement

Harvesting:
Harvest Ancient Fruit once per week
Harvest Ginger 1-2x per week
Harvest Farm Spots 3x/season

Processing:
Keg all Starfruit, save 250 Starfruit Wine/year for further processing in Cellar
Process 125 Starfruit Wine 2x/year in Cellar
Keg Ancient Fruit if no Starfruit
Jar Ancient Fruit, then Rhubarb, Pumpkin, Pineapple, any Tree Fruit that's laying around

This is relatively little effort and lets Bobbi spend most days ignoring the Farm entirely to do other things like attend all Festivals, do Skull Cavern dives, do Volcano Runs, sit under a tree pretending to Fish, play house games with Emily, tailor outfits that probably look good on someone else.

At face value it looks like scaling up Ancient fruit doesn't cost any money, but despite making over 150k from smoked catfish, then kegging hops and pumpkin (idk, 600k?) I still managed to go broke by the end of Winter Y1. Buying copper ore, iron ore, wood and stone, (before Y2 ideally) you need all that for kegs.

My first few saves, I put 3 of each of the fruit trees (apart from mangoes and bananas) along the walls of the greenhouse. Then I started leaving space for the last two fruit trees, and in the last save or so I came up with a better way. Just 1 each of the lowest value fruit: Apricot, Cherry, Orange, Apple. 4 each of Peach, Pomegranate, and Banana. And 2 Mango to fill up the remaining spots and create some symmetry. This because I want to get all kinds of fruit. Then I turn the fruits into jelly.

If going for pure profit, the 18 trees surrounding the ancient fruit would be all Banana, but banana saplings are somewhat rare. A mid-game alternative would be 9 each of Peach and Pomegranate, or just a monoculture of one of them.

How did you get your start with the big money?
When I first started playing Stardew Valley (almost 2 years ago already!), and I got my first Crystalarium, I fell in love with it. I spent a long time grinding the Skull Cavern to obtain all the Iridium Ore I needed to craft over 10,000 of them, and I hired Robin to build me about 80 Big Sheds to house them. All Diamonds.

After several months of collecting Diamonds from them, I finally had hoarded enough (1,026,695) to sell, all at once, for 1,000,000,930 g. Before that, I had precisely 0 g. It was year 20.

So, in year 20, I was still absolutely broke, and then became a billionaire over night.

Anyway, I destroyed those Big Sheds and replaced them with 100 Fish Ponds, only to destroy THOSE and replace them with 130 Deluxe Coops.

My hope is that the 1.7 update will allow console players like myself (ps4) to purchase things more than 1 at a time, because that functionality is the only thing holding me back from sniping the title of "World's Richest."

Calling all @FilthyGorilla ’s How did you get your start with the big money? Everyone has to start somewhere, right? What's the smartest way to earn money? I'm busy filling the greenhouse with ancient fruit. Do you have any other tips????
Step 1) Grow a ton of Starfruit/Ancient Fruit in the Greenhouse.
Step 2) Put them in kegs.
Step 3) ???
Step 4) Profit

But for real, if we are doing the net profit, then...

Starfruit Wine Stocks
116 spots for 6 Iridium Sprinkers
116 * 200g (for Starfruit Seeds) = $23.2k
116 * 2250g (for Starfruit Wine) = $261k
Total Profit:
$261k - $23.2k = $237.8k

Ancient Wine Stocks
116 spots for 6 Iridium Sprinklers
116 * 1650g (for Ancient Fruit Wine) = $191.4
Total Profit:
$191.4k

This is assuming you haven't gotten to the Ginger Islands, and by that point you are likely getting way more money. Haven't really accounted for time either.
Other ways are Diamonds and Truffles, but I feel like Wine is the biggest one.

My tip is to stop worrying about money and just play the game. Everything you do will make money eventually. Do whatever is fun for YOU. Then, every now and then, you glance at your total and wonder if there is anything you could spend it on.
