Ich habe manchmal aus Versehen ein Geschenk überreicht, obwohl ich ein Gespräch starten wollte, weil ich ein Produkt statt eines Werkzeugs selektiert hatte. Meine Empfehlung ist daher eine Abfrage vor der Geschenkübergabe. Die Abfrage kann entfallen, wenn man direkt zuvor bereits mit der gleichen Person gesprochen hat.
Ich spiele mit Maus und Tastatur. Das Problem besteht evt. bei Kontrollern nicht.

Sometime I have unintentionally given a present instead of starting a talk because I right-clicked a person with a selected product (not a tool). So my suggestion is to have a "confirmation request" for giving presents. The "confirmation request" can be skipped when the present is given after a talk to the same person before.
I play with Mouse and Keyboard. Maybe it's not a problem when playing with gamepads.
