All of the following bugs were noticed on a new save file after the 1.6 update on a PS4. These bugs have been noticed multiple times, even upon restarting console and redownloading the game. I have also included the ways we have worked around them in our save.
Ginger Island Volcano Improper Level Loading
Problem: When entering volcano as 2nd controller (farmhand guest), the dungeon would load the intro layout with a notable lack of monster spawn. Progressing through the door would increase the level at the top left, but would load the same level layout without monster spawns. Player could progress up until level 5 (where the dwarf would normally spawn) At level 5, the layout would be exactly the same except the lava would be replaced by water, making progress impossible.
Workaround: If the levels were loaded first by the host, the second player progress to the same floor as the host and play through the level as normal.
Mines/Skull Cavern Improper Level Progression
Problem: The host player would occasionally freeze the floor as monsters would not move and animation effects (such as the white wind particle effect that happens evertime you swing a pickaxe) would remain on the floor. This would appear somewhat randomly as no pattern on floor number was noticed. Increasing the number of effects would seem to crash the game. Player could not place staircases to progress. If a ladder was present, the host could still use the ladder. Bombs would have no effects on the rocks.
Workaround: This glitch never happened as the farmhand guest if they progressed, so progressing through the mines together was our best option if the first player wanted to go to the mines. If the level froze while two players were on the same floor, the farmhand could place a staircase to safely progress through.
Secondary Attack Cooldown Applying Improperly
Problem: When one player would use thier secondary attack (e.g. blocking w/ sword, ground smash with club), the cooldown would apply to both players rather than the player who used it. It would even show a cooldown on weapons stored in chests. Interestingly, the cooldown has also been notably reduced while playing co-op, making the club able to be continously with nearly no cooldown when using acrobat. When playing solo, the cooldown would go back to normal.
Workaround: Not really much of a workaround here, if both players have acrobat it becomes much less noicable but it does get annoying having a cooldown when you never slammed.
Ginger Island West Freshwater Fishing Giving Wrong Fish
Problem: Fishing the both the creek and the pond on ginger island west gives exclusively ocean fish (Tuna, Super Cucumber, Flounder, Lionfish) rather than the freshwater fish.
Workaround: Fish at the dig site creek
Ginger Island "Simon Says" Game Crystal Not Playing Sound
Problem: Game would work as normal but no sound would play for the crystals. Sound that plays if you succeed a round or fail worked as normal. Can still receive golden walnuts.
Workaround: None
Pepper Rex Severe Frame Loss
Problem: Pepper Rex fire breathing attack causes frames to severly drop, sometimes even freezing the game until the animation is over.
Workaround: Avoid Pepper Rex
Workbench/Fridge Causing Decreased Framerate
Problem: Either player opening the workbench or fridge will drop the game to less than 10 fps
Workaround: Closing the interface instantly resolves framrate.
