I am posting this here, since on the bug report forum it said ;we cannot help you with your modded game'. I logged in one morning to see random red Xs in a circle in the farmhouse. I figured out it was the Collector's catalog. It had a red X on the floor and almost all the items I had placed from it, mainly NPC Items I think- like Harvey's Radio Set and Haley's vanity, sebastan;s posters...had turned into red Xs. Putting them in inventory had an error and the name of the item, but it was still a red x in a circle.
I tried deleting the catalog and all the red Xs. restarting, getting the catalog from Robin again, the catalog is missing those items. I removed mods I had recently installed like portraiture and HD portraits.
