My wife and I love playing this game together, but its really frustrating because the character who joins the host will freeze constantly. they wont be able to move or access inventory. sometimes if the host gifts you an item it will unfreeze you but not always, you will usually have to restart the game.
we found that it is usually when both players are harvesting something from the ground. so anything when both players are interacting with ground items anywhere (mines, forest, desert, ginger island) examples:
host- chopping trees + joiner - mining
host- sything grass + joiner - hitting nodes in the quarry
both player in the mines together = if the joiner hits rocks, nodes, or fiber they will freeze.
we are still playing with this handicap because we love this game, but it is very frustrating when we have to coordinate who can interact with ground items each day to prevent a freeze.
