Well, I have some friends who play on Mobile and recently two of them told me they had a bit of difficulty with the game controls, thinking about that I made a simpler layout and it fits well with the style of the game, I think an option with controls like that would be well accepted among mobile players.
Of course this is just an idea and it's not supposed to be exactly like the images I made in photoshop, but for those who have smaller smartphones or just don't like the current controls, this can be an option. The A button would be used to perform an action such as attacking, fishing or watering and the B button would be used for character interactions, to select something, the player would just tap where they want, like the item bar and the arrows would be used for moving

Mobile has the option to change controls and I think one of the existing options is very similar to what you are proposing. You can also change the location of the buttons around.

Yes, however the joystyick turns out to be a little uncomfortable on small smartphones, even being able to adjust the size, so an alternative with arrows could help.

Just bought the mobile version then just about to make a discussion about the control then found yours. I totaly agree with you im not a fans of the analog joystick for movement. Hope concernedape could make some classic 4 dipad arrow like in the steam link
