Children sleep oddities

Can we get the kids to shut their eyes when they sleep? When the kids go to bed, their eyes never shut. They are just creepliy in bed with eyes wide open.

Also, on festival days, they don't go to bed at all, and are still running around the house.

Honestly these are the changes around children that would actually make them feel a little less soulless? Without having them grow up and all the complexity with even managing that.
