Cheapest laptop that will run moderate mods for wifey

It’s exactly what the title asks. I’m not a computer spec person but I know that every game has a computer person that graciously shares this information for the low low cost of public gratitude.

All jokes aside. My wife adores this game and she’s done everything you possibly can do in the game since she bought it. So now it’s mod time. Love and respect in advance for anyone/everyone who has the time to respond

No personal recommendations from myself, but I will add that unless you're adding hundreds of mods affecting core processes of the game or making a lot of processes within the game happen at once, mods don't generally increase the performance requirement much (unless you have hundreds). D

If the mods you want to run are purely visual or just lone content expansions, anything that runs stardew itself (basically anything from 2007 onwards) will run those mods with little trouble. If you do wish to have hundreds of mods at a time you may consider something midrange or even something refurbished from a few years ago that'll run stardew and more for years to come with a little higher long term guarantee if you can get it at a good working condition.
