iOS Cannot load game

Phone: iPhone 12
iOS 16.6

Cannot start game as it goes to black screen and kicks me off after selecting to continue where left off. This happened to me last year and I removed the app and reloaded it and lost the whole 10 year game. I’d really like to avoid that this year. Thanks for the help.

When the game is deleted from your phone, the save file gets deleted at the same time. The way to save your save file first is via the Files app. Open the Stardew Valley folder, and copy the save file it iCloud or another location. Then delete the game, reinstall it, and move the save file back to the Stardew Valley folder in the Files app.
