Solved Can no longer launch game through Steam? Need ideas/help [Linux]

I normally play on Linux and haven't played in a couple weeks. I'm running Cinnamon Mint, and tried to launch the game through Steam (verified my files) and nothing comes up? It shows as running in my Steam Library, and I see 2 applications in System Monitor, but the game never actually launches. I have no idea what version I have (can't get to the main screen), in game language is English, using mouse and keyboard, single player. I can however launch the game through Steam from my Windows 10 laptop (being logged into 2 computers doesn't seem to affect any games or the ability to play on the Win10 comp). I also tried uninstalling and re-installing, and rebooting. All my graphics card drivers are up to date, and I'm not pending any other computer updates.

Any ideas on why I can no longer launch the game through Steam on my Linux computer?

Ok, seems I fixed my issue.

Went into Steam, game page, settings, preferences, compatibility, forced compat with Proton 10.0-2 beta (the one at the bottom). it updated and then actually launched, and I'm able to play again.
