Can i transfer my save file for co-op mode if im not the host

Hi guys, im currently playing on xbox gamepass but it is not a lifetime pass. I recently bought the game in steam and the save world from my local is there but when i tried to join the co-op world with my girlfriend, it says i need to create a new character. Any tips for this?

Is your girlfriend the host? You might have to create a new character because no data is saved at your end, I think it goes by your ID. You could create a new character and then edit the save files to give them back their skills and friendship.

Yeah man thanks for suggesting that. Just changed the code written on the save files
