What are the best places, to:

1 Fish for treasure

2 Cast Treasure Totem

I mostly find treasure when i fish at the ocean or the mountain lake. Anyway try equipping treasure hunter from willy, it helps alot

Treasure is not location dependant. It’s dependant on daily luck and seems to be influenced by fishing zones, so cast away from all walkable tiles as far as possible.

When Fishing I need to keep entertained as waiting for a bite is a little on the dull side, so I prefer:

Pirate Profession
2x Dressed Spinner
Deluxe Bait
Luck Buff (Daily Luck, Lucky Lunch, Ginger Ale, etc.)

Fish bite in less than a second and Treasure Chests pop up so frequently that my Inventory fills up quickly. Bring a Big Chest. And because there's no wait for the bite and you get the time freeze when reeling the Fish in (in single player), you can spend a LONG time in-game Fishing and collecting Treasures in a single day.

Because the bite rate is so high, I'd bet this combination will net more Fishing Treasure chests than the Treasure Hunter Bobber, but I'm really using it this way because I don't like the wait before bite.

For the Treasure Totem, I tried it once and what I got wasn't all that great so I haven't made another. Maybe I should make like 25 of them in a tiny @Ferris Bueller test and see if they're worth it over time.

I made like 15, used them all at once on beach, and and they gave nothing of big value. Clay, mixed seeds, carrots, artifacts, etc. But seeing all those wiggling worms in one spot was priceless. Stupid me forgot to get a photo. I feel like Vincent. I just love finding and watching artifact spots. I can watch them for in game hours. lol.

I used the treasure totems to farm for missing artifacts when I was just down to a few I didn't have yet. Otherwise probably not worth it. So I picked the areas where the specific artifacts were capable of spawning and used them there.

I used it for missing artifacts too and surprisingly enough, it was very worth it... Because in the artifact spots that spawned, i found quite a few books, a nice load of coal and many Mystery Boxes (the normal blue ones, to trade for golden at racoon's). I even picked up a golden animal cracker!

Treasure totem lives up to its name, "treasure", i think!
