I’m having some trouble starting a multiplayer farm with my older sister on Switch. I’m really not sure what to do here; I usually play on PC, so I am unfamiliar with how multiplayer works on the switch (and therefore having difficulty troubleshooting), and my sister is totally new to the game.
To start off, here’s the list of things we’ve already checked and tried;
* both switches are up to date, and so is sdv
* both of us have active Nintendo online memberships
* both of us have tried hosting
* yes, we are hosting via the actual host tab and not just making new single player farms
* we are friends on switch
* both of us have restarted our switches
when my sister hosts, her farm won’t even show up in the join menu. When I try and host, and she tries to join, she gets prompted with the TOS and isn’t able to accept no matter how many times she pushes the button.
I’m asking about it here because we’re having trouble figuring out if this is a stardew issue or a switch issue, but I am also likely going to take this to a Nintendo switch forum.
Anybody have any ideas? Are we missing a step? Should we just give up and stick to local play, if that even works?
