PC Bug with event in Ginger Island

I talked with the new NPC (the old woman) in ginger island while having my inventory full, then I traded the new item the woman gave me for another and I got stuck in the event with no more dialog available so I couldn't move or press ESC or anything. The "skip event" button wasn't in the screen either. Had to alt f4 to close the game/exit the event

If you get stuck like that, you should be able to swap out the quest item with an item from your inventory, and then throw that item away. Then you can proceed with the event. So far example if you have some sap in your inventory, you can trade the

for the sap, then throw the sap away.

That's exactly what I did, and got stuck in the event (not the replace item window).
I couldn't move, talk, no dialog showing...

Update: The same bug happens when I don't have the inventory full. Maybe it's because I have the game in spanish?
Update2: Having the game in english fixes the bug.
