Windows [BUG] Stardew thinks my PC is 32-bit

I’ve had the game on my switch for about a year now and I decided to buy the game on steam for the sole purpose of using mods. However, whenever I open the game, I have to use the compatibility version. My computer is 64-bit so I shouldn’t need to use the compatibility version, but it still requires it. Is there a way to make the game realize that my computer’s 64-bit, not 32-bit?

Hi, this is not really what is going on here, the new monogame engine that stardew uses just doesn't like some PC's and a viable solution has never been found (this is something monogame has to fix and not the stardew devs to our knowledge) you are pretty much stuck using compatibility till anything can be done. And there really hasn't been any solution because this error is extremely unrepeatable as it's 100% random rather it happens to someone or not. the compatibility version uses the old game engine of XNA
