Switch [BUG] Pulsating 'totem'? on farm

Hi everyone. Overnight in early Spring heard a noise and next day there was a pulsating object on the farm that almost looks like a tall tubular fish tank. I cant get to it or interact with it. What is it? PS Loving Ginger Island

it will break after a couple of days, and then you will occasionally see a dark figure running from tree to tree

It has no real use.

You can get to it, actually, though you can't put it back where you see it now. I've had another, similar event put an object in a similar location (same general area of the Beach Farm map where your screenshot is taken from), and I couldn't get to it...

...but if you have an upgraded hoe you actually can dislodge it so that your magnetism will attract it and you'll pick it up. Then you can put it wherever you would like.
