I play on MacOs on a 2019 Macbook Air.
So Stardew Valley wasn't registering my controller, but my controller was working in steam. I had to disable steam input for controllers for Stardew in order for the controller to work in game. However, I use a Switch Pro Controller and I have always played with Nintendo button mapping because I started on Switch. Because I had to disable steam input, it meant that Stardew did not recognize I was on a Switch controller and when I went into a save the buttons were weird, X now was use tools and Y opened the crafting menu which is reverse. I started a new save and when it showed me the buttons it was for an Xbox controller layout. I couldn't remap the buttons in Stardew and now I'm at a loss. I tried playing with the controls as they were but it was getting really frustrating. Is there any fix for this?
