after trying multiple things, our day wont save until my girlfriend leaves after which the game will finally save and go to the sale screen. otherwise it just stays as a black screen, this only started happening as of the recent update(1.5.5) sometimes we can get it to fix and when it does it doesnt do it again for the rest of thh time were playing, but as soon as we go to play again it breaks again.
