It was really hard to fit the entire explanation into the title. So basically, in multiplayer, when one player activates the community center cutscene (the first one, which teleports everyone to town) while another player is fishing, there is a graphical glitch which resolves when the fishing player casts their line again. See image for example: (and yes, the hair is different, all I did was replace an XNB file for the hair. There were no fishing mods or multiplayer mods that would have caused this.)
