Switch [Bug] Mr Qi's Beets

Hi wondering if anyone can help. I'm playing on the switch and doing the Mr Qi's quest to access the casino.

I'm on the part where you put Beets in the mayor's fridge. However I am unable to so so. I have tried all the same quality beets, different quality beets, being friends with the mayor but still cannot place them in the fridge.

Can anybody help?

Do you have all 10 beets? If you have them all in your pockets, you should be able to get the next note without even holding up any beets. (The quality shouldn't matter.)

I was carrying 10 normal beets and 10 gold beets and still no luck..
