Switch [BUG] Marnie won't sell animals

I've ran into an issue where Marnie won't sell me any animals. I select the coop, immediately get the keyboard menu to name it, and whether or not I change the name or keep the random name, it acts as though i've cancelled and backed out of the menu. I'm running the latest version and have tried reinstalling the game.

I'm having the exact same problem right now! I know I have enough room in my barn and coop for more animals but it won't complete the process.

Are you certain you're hitting the correct button for completing the order?

I've tried pressing y, +, and manually pressing the check mark on the screen but it continues to glitch out like I mentioned
